Spotted: Wedding Look We Love at Miss USA 2013

There were so many things about the former Miss USA 2012, Nana Meriwether's look Monday night at the 2013 Miss USA pageant, that were wedding day perfect, we don't know where to begin!

We'll start where every bride starts, with the dress. We did a little digging and found out that designer Sherri Hill was the mastermind behind Nana's deliciously red gown. The designer is well known for adding a glamorous spin on all of her gowns. While the mermaid gown isn't exactly a new dress trend,it definitely is a wedding dress favourite of ours. Add the plunging neck line, the textured top and the dramatic tail and we're swooning all over this dress! While it is fabulous in red, we'd love to see it in off-white or cream.

Complimenting the gown was Nana's loose waves and very simple jewellery. When your gown is dramatic, adding tons of jewellery over complicates your entire look and Nana definitely got that memo. We're impressed!

We see this look with an up-do and a birdcage veil for the ceremony in the garden and loose waves with more defined , night-time make up for an evening reception in the grand ballroom at Sandals Whitehouse. Who else sees a definite wedding look here?

The Prayer Shared Around The World

It's hard to catch a moment to yourself on your wedding day, let alone one with your soon-to-be while everyone buzzes frantically around you. Yet on their wedding day, Bre and her husband Josh were snapped having such a peaceful and serene moment together, it quickly went viral.

This photo shot by Kimberly Burke shows the cute military couple from Lynchburg, VA having a prayer together with the groom carefully placed so he wouldn't see his bride before their wedding. The couple took the special time out because according to the couple faith is a huge part of their relationship.

“People were rushing about; the wedding coordinator directing people here and there, the photographers snapping photos and the bridal party enjoying each others company. Yet in that moment, in the quietness of our hearts and minds, my husband and I were alone in the presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ," the couple wrote in their feature in the New York Daily.

We think every bride should have sweet and wonderful moments before their vows like Bre and Josh did. Whether a sneak kiss with your eyes closed or a letter shared before you walk down the aisle, it helps to remind you on such a busy morning, the whole purpose of your wedding - to marry the love of your life. You may even want to try to catch a moment like this one with your wedding photographer.

Q:  “Is there an opportunity to purchase more wedding photos after you've already left Sandals? I feel like I may want a few more!” – Kristin Wardlow

A: First of all, congratulations! This is a very good question you’ve asked and it’s one we get quite often. This answer will be short and sweet!

We know that capturing every element of your destination wedding is extremely important to destination wedding couples. Your photo experience starts with one of our professionally trained wedding photographers who will take you on a timeless journey to capture every element of your dream day. It’s only fair that you and your new husband have a chance to see these images anytime you want to share them. It’s inevitable; your photos will be so fabulous, after your departure you may want to get additional photos from the ones you may not have selected.

With SnapShots, once you have viewed your wedding images, you will receive a 10 digit password to access your images on the sandals/snapshots website and instructions to access this will be provided for you.  You will have 30 days to access the images and then the images will stay online for an additional 30 days. You will be afforded the opportunity to purchase additional prints and also gifts and novelty items once you have departed.

Thanks for asking this question Kristin. I’m sure tons of brides will benefit from your query. I hope to see you and your husband in the future for a vow renewal!

Fashion Fridays: Blushing Bridesmaids

We are absolutely in love with blush-inspired bridesmaids dresses like the ones real weddingmoons bride, Amy Sterner had her bridesmaids wear.  Not only are they neutral enough to fit into any bride's color scheme but they're some of the easiest dresses to accessorize. Just like black, neutral and blush inspired colors go with anything; turquoise heels, yellow flats or rainbow accessories.

Tell Us: How do you feel about your bridesmaids wearing these color dresses? Do you believe only the bride should wear white?

Bride's Bucket List #5: Spend Some Alone Time

The bridal bucket list is back! If you haven’t seen the other bucket list entries, catch up here, herehere and here, then get ready to add another one to your list (we hope you’re keeping a list!).

Question: Since your engagement (congratulations, by the way!) how much time have you spent alone? Give yourself an honest answer. It’s been a world-wind of events since you got the ring; engagement parties, celebrations with friends, and family visits with the new fiancé. Add to the schedule the wedding planning, fittings with your bridal party, and meetings with caterers, you’ll find things can get quite busy after you've said, “Yes”.

Then there’s your loving fiancé who you can’t wait to marry. You’re both looking for the perfect place together, you may both be attending pre-wedding counselling or maybe you both live together already. Either way, you’re seeing your fiancé quite a lot. When was the last time you took a day or two to yourself? There’s nothing wrong with a little “you time”.

Here's why ...

90210 starlet, Shenae Grimes and British model, Josh Beech got married recently. The blushing bride revealed a photo of her and her new hubby sharing a smooch with the caption, "I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech! Ahhh!"

While everyone is "ohh-ing" and "ahh-ing" over the couple in love, we're "ohh-ing and ahh-ing" over her bold statement of a wedding dress! How fantastic does that dress look with her hair in a messy bun and that wild red flower bouquet?! We love her take on the classic and chic, spring bride.

We were not surprised to find out that wedding dress designer extraordinaire, Vera Wang with her fall 2012 wedding collection, was the mastermind behind this gorgeous gown. We've found a few more from Vera's highly acclaimed fall 2012 line of bold and black, statement wedding gowns that we're falling in love with more and more.

Bright, rainbow colored, mixed-matched bridesmaid dresses are all the rave for spring 2013 weddings. We've been seeing them everywhere! While we certainly love the trend, we've been thinking; how can brides put a different spin on this rainbow look? Neutral or dark colored dress with rainbow accessories of course! If you're one of those brides who prefers for all of your bridesmaids to wear one color but you're looking for ways to "girl" it up a bit, try mix-matched rainbow adornments to make their looks magazine worthy.

Here's how...
