Real Weddings: Anna and Caleb's Intimate Island Escape

There’s nothing like the beauty of feeling like you and your beau are the only two people alone in your own corner of island paradise. For newlyweds Anna and Caleb Hymel, that feeling became a reality when they made the choice to have a very intimate wedding under the gazebo at Beaches Turks and Caicos. According to the military couple, it was extremely important for them to not become overwhelmed with planning or allow stress to dominate this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Of their decision they said, “We wanted to be Husband and Wife and no other detail mattered. So with the family’s blessing, we eloped! We just wanted a stress-free wedding and an amazing honeymoon that we could talk about for years to come.” We couldn’t have said it any better ourselves and we have to admit, they look like such a happy, romantic couple. Don’t believe us? Look for yourself! There’s no way anything could have kept these two inseparable best friends apart.

Anna was truly a “stress free bride”. True to her nature, she made very little fuss surrounding her wedding gown. “I did not try on one dress prior to making my purchase but took my shopping online instead. My dress cost only $200 and I could not have been more pleased with it!”- Anna.

When we arrived to our ceremony, there were Butlers, housekeepers, gardeners, and others from various areas of the resort to celebrate with us. Everyone was so kind and truly made us feel like family.”- Anna and Caleb.

Even though the couple decided to elope, Anna was still able to have all the traditional wedding experiences all brides love to have. According to Caleb, “Since it was only the two of us, there obviously would be no one to throw the bouquet to. Anna had a funny idea and asked Patricia, our wedding planner, if it would be possible to ask a couple ladies from the staff for the throwing of the bouquet. Everyone really went above and beyond.”

"We started out as close friends and have been inseperable ever since."

Our Favorite Moment: “Our photo shoot was definitely our favorite part of our wedding. The photographer was hilarious and a joy to work with. We literally laughed the whole time!"- Anna and Caleb.

“To the staff of Beaches in Turks & Caicos: Thank you for the memories that you've given us. It takes a special talent to make everyone feel as though they are the most important people on the resort; it takes a special talent to make each person feel so at home. We cannot wait to return. If we could do it all over again, we would not change one thing about our wedding! It was perfectly beautiful and carefree…exactly what we wanted.” - Anna and Caleb Hymel.

It's been over a year now and these two are still talking about the exceptional service, atmosphere and accommodations at this resort. Your staff was extraordinary and made their Wedding-moon an experience they will always remember and talk about for years to come. Thank you for making it absolutely PERFECT for them! I have, and will continue to recommend this location to everyone looking for a destination wedding. Most definitely a very affordable 5-star experience!

My fiancé Tim and I are eloping at the Sandals Royal Plantation in Jamaica on April 22nd (just a few days away!), and it is so nice to see a couple who chose to do the same thing and had such a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing their story.

Clea we think elopements make for romantic stories. You're only a week and a half away! Congratulations!

Have you finalized all of your plans?
