I totally love this new headband trend and lately I’ve seen it crossover into weddings. Flipping through countless magazines and blogs, I’ve seen so many brides rock-out a headband instead of a traditional veil. It a matter of style, if you are more of a traditional destination wedding girl, then a beautiful long veil is a lovely contrast to the azure waters. But, if you are a little more rock-and –roll, there is no reason you can’t show off your signature style and opt for a headband with feathers, leather flowers or lots of bling. After all it’s your day, if you can’t decide you can always do both; a headband and short veil combo. I absolutely love these; they are so vintage and glamorous!

Martha Stewart Crafts Studio at Beaches , a series of creative classes, developed exclusively for Beaches Resorts. Learn how to make your own stencil using craft punches, and then use glitter to transfer the design onto a fabric item. Feel free to bring something of your own to decorate, if desired.
Send a loved one a heartfelt greeting on a beautiful postcard you made yourself. Or, keep it as a reminder of your Beaches vacation. This class allows you to try your hand at glittering, punching out paper shapes, and designing your own personal memento.
Glittering is one of Martha’s favorite crafts. In this class, you’ll learn how to turn an ordinary object into a sparkly, eye-catching keepsake. We’ll teach you different glittering variations that let you create solid, dotted, striped, and multicolor designs
Join us at Beaches Resorts this fall for our not so scary Halloween crafts. I had so much fun glittering seashells, scrap booking and making postcards. I have to say they are spooktacular!!! Learn more at http://www.beaches.com/craftstudio/

Yesterday was a very busy day at Sandals Resorts; so many couples were wed on 10-10-10. Normally we do not conduct weddings on Sunday, but because of the popularity in recent years of triple digit dates, we were able to work something out. In today’s New York Times they estimated that over 39,000 said I DO yesterday. Congratulations and btw you’ll never forget your Anniversary date! If you were one of these couples I’d love hear from you.

Surrounded by 48 of their friends and family, Christy and Anthony were wed at Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort, February 2010. Their pictures are classic and romantic; my favorite is the black and white picture taken on the pier, stunning. I absolutely adore her wedding gown, it’s edgy and chic. Enjoy the pics and a few words from the lovely couple:
In their words:
Martha Stewart Theme: Flutter of Romance
WeddingMoon Cake Description/Flavor: Rum/Chocolate
Tell us why you chose to have a WeddingMoon: We wanted to have a wedding on a beautiful island with our close friends and family there to share it with us. We wanted something different than the traditional wedding and always wanted to visit Turks and Caicos.
Activities/other parties held for your guests: A rehearsal dinner was held outside at the pool in front of Reflections.
Favorite WeddingMoon Memory: The Ceremony, saying our “I Do’s” on a dock overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. It was very romantic.
What did your attending guests think of your wedding? Everyone had an amazing time. They loved the resort, the food, the accommodations, everything. Everyone that works there was so nice and accommodating as well. The staff made our trip so enjoyable.
Would you recommend a WeddingMoon to others – Yes. Our wedding was beautiful, so romantic. The pictures on the beach/pier are breathtaking. It is the best decision we made.
What would you say the best part was of your WeddingMoon experience? Being able to travel to a beautiful island with so many members of our family and close friends. It was so nice to have them there to share it with. It was a memorable experience.- Read More
