The Most Romantic Place on Earth for Your Destination Wedding - Sandals Wedding Blog
Apr 26 2013

There are so many big picture things to know when planning a destination wedding like picking a location, getting your documents ready, and deciding on a guest list, that sometimes brides forget the smaller yet equally important things to make their wedding experience go as smoothly as possible. One of those things is, folding your wedding dress properly. No matter the type of dress or the type of fabric you pick, it's still important to know how to get your dress safely to your destination with out doing any permanent damage to it.

The first thing you need to do is find out what your gown is made of. Some fabrics rest and fold better than others and it will benefit you to know this. Second, decide if you are using a dress box or a travel garment bag. If you purchase a kit from a wedding dress specialist, then they can pack it securely for you (and we totally recommend letting them do this!). But if you're anything like this wedding blogger here, you will want to try on your wedding dress a few (hundred) more times before the wedding trip; so we'll teach you how to pack it yourself. Remember: the trick to packing your dress is proper folding; avoid cramming your dress at all times that may lead to unsightly wrinkles!

Save the planet and have the beautiful wedding ofyour dreams by having a Green Beach Wedding!

1.  The Beach in the day is perfect for natural lighting.

Having your wedding under a clear island sky with the sun peaking through the white fluffy clouds provides the best possible photos. Seriously, everyone can see how gorgeous you look in your dress under the natural lighting at the beach. Best of all, natural lighting is a photographer's and videographer's best friend; no need for lugging around high powered lighting equipment that relies soley on electricity.

Whether it’s a re commitment ceremony, a renewal of vows or as we like to call it, retying the knot, deciding to get married all over again may seem like something only celebrities or your grandparents do. We can tell you, a renewal of vows is much more than just a celebrity trend or a good-natured nod to 20 plus years of marriage. Here are five reasons you should renew your vows, and trust us, you won’t need more than these five reasons to retie the knot!

Because it’s seriously romantic as a surprise.

A surprise vow renewal is hands-down one of the most romantic experiences we’ve been a part of. In fact, a planned surprise renewal of vows was one of on-site wedding planner, Jadeane Clarke’s, favorite moments!

“…I remember doing a renewal of vows with a groom who arranged it as a surprise to his wife who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. We had her get all dressed up for a “family photo session”. She had no clue! It wasn’t until I handed her a bouquet and the music started playing, that she realized what was happening. She cried right through the entire ceremony; she was so happy!

There’s no better way to explain it; it’s beyond romantic!

Earlier this year, we officially declared our Weddingmoons' Colors of Spring 2013 as Sea Foam and Sea Glass for a vibrant spring beach wedding inspired by the waters of the Caribbean. Being the fair and equal people we are this time, we decided to focus on the soft neutrals that a Caribbean garden in the spring time can offer. We call this one our "Stranded on a Tropical Island" Spring Palette! We paired the tropical lure of Kiwi and Tangerine with Soft Sand to come up with what we think  makes a delicate beach wedding on the sand with a lush reception in the garden. Pair this palette with Pantone's color of the year, Emerald, for a rich addition to your wedding (we're thinking bridesmaid's dresses)!

Thanks to the easy-to-use interactive wedding planner and an enviable palette of colors, Weddingmoons is helping you plan the perfect spring weddings! If these colors are absolute must-have's, don't hesitate to share them with your wedding planner to help you put this together!

Is this palette totally you? Tell us in the comments!
